When I’m not working, I can often be found at the stables riding my horse, Winston. I purchased Winston off the racetrack when I was in graduate school and we’ve had an interesting journey ever since. Winston is eighteen now and he’s survived a long battle with EPM (equine protozoal myelitis) as well as tendon surgery. Back when we lived in New Mexico, we competed in the hunter divisions (which are judged subjectively on style), but now we’re having even more fun in the jumper classes (which are judged objectively on knockdowns, refusals and time). Many thanks to Alison Fisher and the team at Bay View Farm for helping us reach our goals!
